We love helping people achieve their goals. In fact, we’re passionate about it. But we know enthusiasm alone doesn’t get the job done—we also have the expertise to back it up. Our senior consultants each have more than 25 years of experience in instructional design, education, and project management.
We are fortunate to have found our sweet spot, at the intersection of what we love to do, what the world needs, what we are good at, and what we can make a living doing. As creative consulting professionals, we have rewarding careers that provide a kaleidoscope of opportunities to stretch our imagination and discover creative solutions to help people and organizations achieve their goals. And because we love what we do, you can see the difference reflected in our work.
As a virtual company, flexibility comes with the territory. Not only are our team members empowered with greater work/life balance, but we also offer our customers increased responsiveness and productivity. Furthermore, we can hire the best talent to support the project needs, no matter their geographical location.
We believe in doing the right thing, even when no one is looking. Behaving with integrity means being honest and ethical in all aspects of our lives, valuing diversity and inclusion, and treating others with kindness, compassion, and respect.
We take our promises seriously and believe in accountability. We know our customers trust us to provide solutions for their needs, on time and on budget. We communicate and mitigate risks proactively, not waiting for issues to surprise us—or you. When problems arise, we find solutions.
When you partner with us, we become an extension of your team. Your success matters to us. In fact, we kind of obsess over it. Our mission is to help you achieve yours. We do that by truly understanding your organization’s needs and building a relationship—one we hope will thrive for many years.
I’m Kayleen Holt. I’ve been designing learning experiences for more than 25 years. My favorite ways to teach are through scenarios, case studies, and performance-based activities that engage, inspire, and make a lasting impact.
Throughout my career, I’ve developed or led the development of custom learning solutions and professional development programs for 25+ federal government agencies, private sector companies, and nonprofit organizations. I get especially excited about working with organizations that are out to make a difference in the world—improving people’s lives, companies’ work cultures, or the planet itself. And as a neurodivergent person with disabilities, I have a particular interest in accessibility and inclusion.
I hold a Master of Science degree in Educational Technology, a Graduate Certificate in Online Teaching, and a Bachelor of Arts in English Education. I work with a small team of experienced professionals who share my core values and enthusiasm for helping others succeed. Get in touch, and let’s change the world together—one learning experience at a time!
Don’t just take our word for it. Here’s what clients have had to say about working with Kayleen and the Scissortail team.
If you’re not from Oklahoma or surrounding areas, you might not have seen one of these beauties grace your skies.
The scissortailed flycatcher is the state bird of Oklahoma, our headquarters.
Just as a songbird activates both sides of its brain when singing, our learning experience design professionals are equally creative and analytical.
We have the talent and skills to analyze your organization’s learning needs and follow through with a well-planned approach and customized, innovative solution.
