Learning Needs Analysis

Project Overview

The Challenge:

To stay abreast of ever-evolving learning needs, CDER’s Division of Learning and Development (DLOD) conducts a learning needs analysis every three years.

The Solution:

We conducted a learning needs analysis that included an analysis of previous LNA efforts, organizational goals and competencies, and training programs. We administered a survey of all CDER staff, conducted 13 one-hour virtual interviews with Office Executives, 10 two-hour virtual focus groups with individual contributors, team leads, supervisors, managers, and learning coordinators. After reviewing the results of all analysis activities, we distilled the information down to nine core recommendations to improve the state of learning within CDER.
