Blended Learning Development and Virtual Learning Conversion

Project Overview

The Challenge:

High-potential and high-performing employees required leadership development to help them be ready to fill senior leadership roles. 

In addition, employees working remotely during the pandemic required access to training previously only offered in person.

The Solution:

Scissortail provided the following instructional design support: 

  • Redesigned a one-day instructor-led course for virtual delivery for two separate audiences
  • Redesigned a one-day instructor-led course as a blended learning solution, with an eLearning course and instructor-led portion (delivered as either two virtual sessions or one in-person session)
  • Provided producer support for multiple virtual instructor-led training (vILT) offerings
  • Developed portions of a three-week blended (eLearning and in-person) leadership program, delivered over the course of one year, including modules on ethics and financial management

  • Incorporation of interactive strategies to improve engagement in virtual courses

    • eLearning courses using Storyline 360
    • Explainer videos and animations (see below for samples)
    • Instructor Guides, PowerPoint presentations, scenario-based exercises, and participant materials
    • A quiz-show game to review eLearning concepts in the instructor-led course
