Course Development, Project Management, Analysis, and Writing

Project Overview

The Challenge:

Communities need to prepare for providing long-term support and services after an event involving terrorism, mass violence, or natural disaster.

The Solution:

I have worked with VOICES on three separate occasions in support of their mission to assist communities in preparing for and recovering from tragedy. The first two projects were before forming Scissortail Creative Services.

  1. Two-day training course called Voices of Experience:  Helping Communities Heal After Traumatic Events
  2. Developed a series of Tip Sheets for survivors, family members, mental health practitioners, and responders.
  3. Provided project management, analysis, and technical writing support to help VOICES complete a final report with recommendations for a Canadian Community Response Program framework.
