Course Development, Project Management, Analysis, and Writing

Project Overview

The Challenge:

Communities need to prepare for providing long-term support and services after an event involving terrorism, mass violence, or natural disaster.

The Solution:

Scissortail is currently working collaboratively with VOICES to update a two-day instructor-led training course and redesign it for interactive virtual delivery, breaking the content up into multiple one-hour online sessions. Scissortail’s founder, Kayleen, had developed the original course as an independent freelancer before the company’s formation.

Other work we have supported for VOICES includes:

  • Development of a series of Tip Sheets for survivors, family members, mental health practitioners, and responders based on VOICES’ research.
  • Analysis, synthesis, writing, and editing support to help VOICES complete a final report with recommendations for a Canadian Community Response Program framework.
